Cape S. Vicent
The most southwestern point in Portugal and Europe, with its famous light house. Home to Henry the Navigator and the beginning of the Great Discoveries.
Bone Chapel
This chapel was build to respect the bones that were exhumed in 1816 from the overcrowded cemeteries of Faro. Located inside the Carmo Church in Faro, the bones make the intricate decoration of this chapel.
Ferragudo
Considered by many the prettiest town in the Algarve. In Ferragudo you will find the traditional coble stones, the gorgeous white cottages with their typical doorways, the flowers, and many local restaurants, to delight yourself with the the Algarvian delicacies.
Loule food market
Loule is an ideal destination for a day trip. This Moorish influenced town is very much a modern Portuguese center. In the middle of the town you will find the local food market with the freshest produce. The market's architecture is beautiful, and strolling through the stalls you will find the traditional sweets, honey, hams, cheeses and herbs.
Tavira
Tavira lies along the slow flowing Gilao river and is another example of the beautiful mix between the old Moorish architecture and the modern Portuguese living. With its many churches and labyrinths of cobbled streets, Tavira is well worth a visit.
Marina Vilamoura
A new town built in the 70's as a modern resort, harbours a sophisticated atmosphere, with its many restaurants, five start hotels and marina.
Golf
Portuguese golf courses are known to be among the best in the world, with 7 of the 10 best golf courses in the country being in Algarve.
The beautiful courses, designed by world famous architects, makes Algarve a heaven for golfers.
Shopping
Portugal is an excellent place for shopping. Whether street or mall shopping, you will always find something attractive.
With most international brands and some exciting Portuguese ones, make sure you have some extra space in your luggage.
Farol de Alfanzina
The light of the Farol de Alfanzina (Alfanzina light house), can be seen from in the evenings from the villa.
The light house was build in 1920 and is still used today for navigation support. It can be visit every Wednesday from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Carvoeiro Coastline
The Carvoeiro coast line is special, either tracking or taking a boat tour is a must see.
By boat you can visit the many caves with the different sunlight effects. When tracking, you walk in the beautiful nature and enjoy the amazing views.
